More importantly, the lightweight design allows you to take it up and down stairs and clean high-up places with ease. The Dyson V7 Motorhead Origin Lightweight Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner, for example, is a little lighter than the Dyson V11 Absolute Extra stick vac mentioned above, but its direct-drive cleaner head is still powerful enough to lift ground-in dirt from carpets. Stick vacuums generally weigh less than 10 pounds, and while they may be “light” on attachments (they typically don’t have as many as uprights), many of them have clever features that make them ideal for cleaning stairs and ceiling fans. That’s where lightweight stick vacuums are a great solution. When you have a multi-level home, you don’t want to have to trudge a heavy vacuum up and down multiple flights of stairs. Do you have hardwood or laminate flooring? It’s even got tools for upholstery, stairs, and crevices to help you get into all the nooks and crannies. Many of them disinfect as well, killing bacteria and germs in the process, like the Hoover Power Scrub Deluxe Pet Carpet & Upholstery Deep Cleaner, which automatically mixes detergent and water for best results and uses forced heated air to deliver faster drying times. Unlike traditional vacuums, these deep cleaners use moisture and heat to break down dirt and stains. Need to pull up dirt, dust mites and pet dander that have been ground deep into the carpet fibers? You may want to consider a carpet cleaner. Soft bristles will help prevent you from accidentally bending or damaging your carpet fibers. If your rug or carpet is made of natural fibers – like wool – you’ll want to opt for a bristle brush with soft, flexible bristles that attaches to a canister vacuum like the BISSELL PowerLifter 15X Multi-Cyclonic Lightweight Bagless Canister Vacuum Cleaner. When shopping for a vacuum, always make sure to check what kind of accessories come with. Meanwhile, the large capacity container means you can finish the job without having to pause to empty it out as often. The multi-cyclonic suction is paired with a Triple-Action brush roll that pulls up deep dirt and embedded pet hair. That means you can use the most powerful vacuums on the market without worrying about damage.įor an all-around vacuum that works great on carpets, the BISSELL PowerLifter Swivel Pet Lightweight Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner is a solid choice. Most modern carpets are made from nylon, olefin, or polyester and are very durable. It also easily switches to handheld to help you tackle quick clean-ups and tough-to-reach places.Ĭarpeting is a major factor in choosing the best vacuum for your space. HANDY MOTORCYCLE LIFT PLUSIt features a high torque cleaner head with a crazy powerful Boost mode that gives you twice the suction of other cord-free vacuums, plus an Eco mode for max run time. We like the Dyson V11 Absolute Extra Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner as a good all-around option. Have a smaller space, such as a condo or apartment? You may want to consider a stick vacuum. Plus, the 1200 watts of power won’t leave you wanting while you clean across the 11-meter operating radius. That means looking at a full-size vacuum with a large dust bag or canister that will require less frequent emptying.įor a versatile canister vacuum that can conquer large spaces with ease, the Miele Complete C3 Excellence Multi-Floor Canister Vacuum Cleaner features a powerful roller brush to help remove dirt from low-medium pile carpet and area rugs, while the universal floor tool provides effective cleaning for a wide variety of surfaces. If you have a big house – or one with a lot of people, pets or kids going in and out – you’ll want something that can deal with the higher levels of dirt and dust they’ll be kicking up. If I needed service, the retailer selling Handy would be my choice. One of the first things to consider when buying a vacuum cleaner is the size of your home. Warranty on Atlas is One year-Parts only.Handy is "limited lifetime". I'd expect the resale value on the Handy to be higher. Handy table is shorter drive to pick up (60 miles vs. Other considerations: Handy table has an optional dolly for moving the table around my somewhat crowded shop (Atlas does not offer this). The Handy table (made in US) sells for $950 plus $150 for the front wheel vise. The Atlas table (made in China) sells for $749 and includes the front wheel vise. ) from a local retail outlet that sells and services heavy duty landscaping equipment.īoth tables are rated at 1000 pounds and both are air operated. I have narrowed it down to an Atlas table (Greg Smith Equipment. I am seriously considering buying a motorcycle lift table and want to buy a good quality table.

isn’t worth your time is that almost all of its side characters exhibited more growth than our young couple. Maybe this is a realistic depiction of how high schoolers face hurdles in their relationships and I’m just old and out of touch (no, it’s the kids who are wrong), but, all the same, it was, at times, physically painful for me to watch.Ī third and final reason why Say “I Love You”. But, no, instead Mei spends several episodes moping, feeling insecure, and distancing herself from everybody around her. I’m glad that we had this conversation.” The two hug it out and live happily ever after. No, what I take issue with is the fact that the solution to this, and the other problems that Mei and Yamato face, is so simple: just bloody well talk to one another! Here’s what ought to have happened in this scenario: “Hey, Yamato, have you been cheating on me?” “No.” “OK, cool, but you probably shouldn’t have secret meetups with other girls.” “OK, yeah, that’s a fair point. Sure, it’s a little “high school”, but, again, our couple are high schoolers, so that makes sense. Now, I don’t take issue with the problem itself. He may not have cheated on her, but when she learned about their secret meetups she was still, understandably, shaken. Here’s an example of one of the trials our young couple face: Yamato began spending time with another girl behind Mei’s back. Every single one of Mei and Yamato’s problems stemmed from their inability to communicate with each other. isn’t worth your time is that it was, at times, extremely frustrating to watch. Theirs is a relationship that defies all logic.Īnother reason why Say “I Love You”. Yet Yamato’s attraction towards her persists. That being said, once they begin dating, Mei becomes yet another Yamato fangirl, her once fiery personality rears its head once, maybe twice, more the entire show, and she suddenly starts to care what others, particularly her newfound friends, think about her. Admittedly, they’re high schoolers and high schoolers have never needed a good reason to start dating anybody. If you ask me (and, since you’re reading this, I assume that you’re at least a little interested in my opinion), these reasons seem pretty silly, hardly the basis for a long-lasting relationship. Or perhaps Yamato’s attraction towards Mei stemmed from the fact that she paid little heed towards what other people thought about her. Another possible reason might be that, after receiving a roundhouse kick straight to the face, Yamato was drawn to Mei’s fiery personality. Or maybe, because of this, she represented somewhat more of a challenge for him. Perhaps, in his mind, this singles her out as unique. One reason why Yamato might find Mei attractive is that, before they began dating, she was the only girl in their school to have never shown any interest in him. No, the problem is that, even when I try to put my finger on these reasons, they seem… silly, at best. Feelings are often messy and difficult to unspool, and sometimes something is lost when trying to do so. The problem isn’t that he never says why he likes her. from being equally as successful is that it’s almost impossible to comprehend Yamato’s attraction towards Mei. It’s a simple premise, one that’s found success in literally hundreds of other shows. We watch as, over the span of 13 episodes, they meet, begin to date, and overcome various trials and tribulations. isn’t worth your time is as follows… This anime revolves around the blossoming romance of two young, high schoolers: Mei Tachibana and Yamato Kurosawa. So aren’t you better off investing in those actually worth your time? Here are three reasons why Say “I Love You”. Anime, even shorter ones, represent a significant investment of your time. The way I look at it, time is a finite and, therefore, valuable resource. Though I do try to keep my posts pretty positive here on Watashi Wa Bucho!! (there’s already enough negativity in the world without me adding to it), every so often I watch an anime so unpalatable that I feel it’s part public service to warn people about it. On the flip side of that coin, Age of Wonders III offers a delightful, detailed combat engine that surpasses the abstracted number crunching that titles like Civilization offer. The diplomacy and research options in Age of Wonders III are underwhelming at times and the visuals are adequate but seldom impressive. There are some aspects that come up short when measured against something like the Civilization, which is viewed by many as the best in class for 4x strategy games ( I’m pretty sure Europa Universalis has taken over there these days – ed). This is still a slow paced, thoughtful strategy title that focuses heavily on exploration and slowly expanding your lands while not stretching your armies too thinly in the process. The Golden Realms DLC does not do anything to fundamentally change the core of what Age of Wonders III brings to the table. It’s a slow burner – it was not until I was about a dozen or so hours into Age of Wonders III that I came to fully appreciate its nuances and improvements over earlier iterations in the series, but now the Golden Realms Expansion is out, and there is even more reason to dedicated the time it takes to get “in” with it. Kings, dark lords, magic spells and fantastical creatures appeal to me greatly, and the sweeping landscapes of Age of Wonders III certainly provides those things. There are a lot of 4X strategy games out there, and most genre fans have a personal preference with regards to what they like playing. The latter can be used for play/pause or held down to connect with Siri or Google Assistant – there’s a microphone for voice commands or just using the Revolve as a speakerphone. The rounded bottom and top are both rubber, with the top having buttons moulded into it for on/off, Bluetooth, volume up, volume down, aux input and a multi-function control. There’s a choice of two finishes: Luxe Silver and Triple Black. A perforated aluminium enclosure wraps seamlessly around the speaker and tapers towards the top. #Bose soundlink revolve BluetoothRelated: Best Bluetooth speakers Bose SoundLink Revolve – Design and featuresīose has done a decent job with the styling. Premium design and materials combine with portability and solid sonic chops to make this one of the best Bluetooth speakers around – although you pay a hefty price for it. The SoundLink Revolve is Bose getting in on that omnidirectional-audio act. In this section, we will take a closer look at these audio quality sub-scores and explain what they mean for the user, and we will show some comparison data from two of the SoundLink’s principal competitors, the LG XBoom Go PL 7 and the Sony SRS-XB43.The buzz in Bluetooth speakers these days is all around 360-degree audio, with the music sounding the same no matter where you are in the room. The DXOMARK Speaker overall score of 107 for the Bose SoundLink Revolve II is derived from a range of sub-scores. And the Bluetooth connectivity comes with an audio-video latency that makes it less than ideal for watching video content. At loud volume, strong compression induces noticeable pumping. Maximum volume is not loud enough, and the volume steps aren’t consistent overall. Attack is not precise on high-pitched instruments, while the lack of a lower spectrum impairs both bass precision and punch. Because of the setup, the device has no wideness (though Bose notes that it can be synched with a second device). In the bedtime and bathroom use cases, the 360-degree approach hinders distance rendering, with voices perceived as diffuse or as coming from the back of the device. At loud volume, on the other hand, tonal balance becomes very midrange-focused. At soft volume, tonal balance lacks some high-frequency content. The drawbacks of the SoundLink Revolve II include midrange rendering that is slightly inconsistent, with a small lack of upper mids. In the bathroom and bedroom use cases, the Bose SoundLink Revolve II’s 360-firing impinges on distance rendering. (For more details about our Speaker protocol, click here.) The Bose SoundLink Revolve II falls into the Essential category of devices in the DXOMARK Speaker rankings. Note that we evaluate playback using only the device’s built-in hardware. For example, most of Alaska uses Alaska Time, which spans three standard time zones. Today's use of time zones tends to follow more often the boundaries of countries and their subdivisions instead of the standard parallels because it is convenient in close economic or political areas to keep the same time.
